My Professional Journey

As an advisor, operator, and entrepreneur, I’ve learned a great deal about people, markets, and organizations.

I’ve worked closely with the hedge fund community, advised high-net-worth families on Wall Street, led an RIA within a public accounting firm, and co-founded a fully independent wealth management firm.

I started my career at Markit (acquired by S&P Global) processing interest rate and equity derivatives for hedge funds. It was in this role when I decided I wanted to pursue a career at the intersection of people and financial markets, which led me to Private Wealth Management.

I worked in roles at Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley in New York, where I began advising high-net-worth families and single-family offices on asset allocation and global market strategy. I went on to become a Senior Wealth Advisor at Merrill Lynch before transitioning to Baker Tilly US, LLP, where I became the youngest partner at the firm and was later named Co-Head of Baker Tilly Wealth Management and Member of the Investment Committee.

What I'm Building

I co-founded Third View Private Wealth to create a multi-family office experience for high-net-worth individuals and families. Our name comes from the three founders offering a perspective that is unbiased and well-traveled. Our team has collectively worked together for many years, building a level of trust and cohesion that shapes the culture of Third View and enables us to deliver a highly personal, boutique experience for our clients every day.

Recognition & Media

I’ve been recognized by Forbes as a Best-in-State Wealth Advisor – Private Wealth (2025) (1) and a Best-in-State Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisor (2024–2025) (2). I’ve appeared on the Barron’s The Way Forward – Next Gen podcast and have written a variety of articles and features for The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Forbes, InvestmentNews, and Accounting Today.

I’ve made live television appearances from the New York Stock Exchange on Schwab Network and NYSE TV, discussing Federal Reserve policy, corporate earnings, and Third View’s outlook on the markets. I’ve also been invited to speak at events such as Future Proof Festival and other RIA and wealth-management conferences.

My greatest joy is my children.

Outside of Third View, I’m passionate about family, health and wellness, and education. I enjoy traveling and spending time with my wife and our three daughters.

I'm a lifelong student of people and business.

In April 2025, Frank McKiernan was named by Forbes and SHOOK Research, LLC as Forbes Best-in-1. State Wealth Advisors 2025. The award is based on the period 6/30/23-6/30/24.

2. In August 2024, Frank McKiernan was named by Forbes and SHOOK Research, LLC as Forbes Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisors Best-in- State 2024. The award is based on the period from 3/31/23-3/31/24.

Forbes America’s Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisors ranking was developed by SHOOK Research and is based on in-person, virtual, and telephone due diligence meetings to evaluate each advisor qualitatively, a major component of the ranking algorithm that includes: client impact, industry experience, credentials, review of compliance records, firm nominations; and quantitative criteria, such as: assets under management and revenue generated for their firms. SHOOK considered advisors born in 1986 or later with a minimum 4 years as an advisor. Advisors have: built their own practices and lead their teams; joined teams and are viewed as future leadership; or a combination of both. Investment performance is not a criterion because client objectives and risk tolerances vary, and advisors rarely have audited performance reports. SHOOK’s research and rankings provide opinions intended to help investors choose the right financial advisor and are not indicative of future performance or representative of any one client’s experience. Past performance is not an indication of future results. Neither Forbes nor SHOOK Research receive compensation in exchange for placement on the ranking, but a licensing fee is paid for the right to use their logo. The full methodology can be found here.
